Our first Halloween in our new house was a bit hit and miss. After almost 10 years in Maryland, we had assembled the necessary items for
that house/yard, so now we had to shoehorn everything into a much bigger house with a much smaller yard.
The biggest challenge was a steep and small front lawn with a long walk to the front door. We wrapped the side of the garage and the front porch in Scene Setters, and added orange and "purple" lights to accent it. The key was to create enough light for kids in costumes, but keep it dark enough to seem ominous. Careful use of green and rose spotlights threw spooky shadows everywhere, and some homemade fog chillers helped keep the fog down low.
